Mangrove Jack's Hop Pellets Northern Brewer GER 50g

A hop with a very mild, clean, neutral flavour which can be used in all types of beer, with no harshness of palate and imparts a good quality of bitterness. The high level of oil makes this a very distinctive dry hop for full-bodied ales.

Northern Brewer was is the daughter of Goldings OB21. The commercial importance of Northern Brewer among growers has declined sharply in recent years due to problems with plant health and the development of more productive new varieties. Nevertheless, this bitter variety is still used in the production of bottom-fermented beers, where it is primarily added at the beginning and midpoint of wort boiling. The bitterness of beer brewed with Northern Brewer is balanced, with a medium level of intensity.
